Like parasites, we jump from craving to craving,
remaining blind to what goes on inside,
feeding this bottomless pit. feeding for eternity.
To take an honest look at what we have done is to lose all hope for any form of recovery. 
I pray we are eradicated from the face of Mother Earth.
Oh mother, we've shamed you.

I rejoice with the realisation that the end is drawing near 
For far too long have we extorted the one whom gave us birth
There is a desperate cry for reason, but we are deaf to every word.
On the path for self destruction, all for instant gratification 

We can no longer be sustained, as we have taken all there is to take.
From our self serving hands is a trail of carnage too deep to repair
From the oceans once so pure, to the land that did once overflow with life
To the sentient beings who once roamed free, who were once not slaves to a merciless massacre,
this blood is on our hands.

Consumed by greed and lust for pleasure,
we are slaves to blind indulgence. 
Those who rule and govern over us, use this weakness against us
In the grasp of modern entertainment, we're eating right out from their hands. 
From Flat screen technology to gluttonous advertisement, we are in chains to these addictions
so.. the eviction has begun, its time we stood aside.


We have failed
Its only a matter of time before its over,
And I cant face the mistakes that we have made along the way...what have we done?
Now i pray that the world will cleanse itself of us to let the life of others once more flourish
Its far too late to clean the wounds of those which have bled over and over and over

So where will we go from here? we are under duress,
where we can either change the ways in which we have lived until this point,
or learn nothing from the consequences of our blind indulgence,
will we perish or will be grow?
only time will tell.
